Teak, Plantation
This beautiful and elegant tropical specie is very popular in the worldwide wood working industry. The core tree is golden to mid-brown, which darkens with age.
The wood is both elastic and hard, and with generally good strength properties. Plantation Teak varies from wax yellow to a lighter gray-green. Used for furniture and countertops.
More broad and smaller dimensions than other Teak species, which is also oilier. There may also be several knots in the plantation teak.
