Mahogany, Sapele
West African Sapele has good machining properties. Used especially for windows, cladding, doors, moldings, furniture, floors, joinery and boat construction. Wide, clearly delimited light/grayish/pink splinter with a brownish/red core, shiny and darkened in light. Sapele is one of the most commonly used Mahogany varieties from Africa.
